Normally with well care and good feeding goldfish will live quite long like 10-20 years and even more than 40 years sometimes. Lifespan may disturb with the rapid change in the temperature, size of the aquarium and size of the fish too.

If your goldfish survive the first week in their tank, they will generally live 1-2 years. Keeping the water clean and not overfeeding will extend their lifespan.

I think they need to be at least 3 years old before they can reproduce, so at two they are not even adults.  add a comment

If the goldfish is well cared for and no foreseen problems happen, it is known for goldfish to easily live anywhere from 10-20 years. Just make sure that if you want your goldfish to live this long, it needs to be in a non-crowded tank with a well balanced diet and plenty of clean water.

On average pet goldfish live about 6 years. In the wild or outdoor tanks they can live into their 40s.
