If the body is to be present, the time period is usually two or three days. A cremated body or a celebration of life funeral can take place any time.

The third day after the date of death seems to be appropriate. Most probably it is due to the fact that such period "guaranteed" that the person wouldn't be buried alive. In most cases it also allows enough time for people to arrive to the ceremony.

Most funerals are held within three to seven days after the death of a loved one. However, memorial services are often held a month or two later.

I would say you want to give time for the preparation and the family to be able to gather. You will want to give time for an autopsy report to be completed. This can take up to a week or two weeks, Have it on a weekend so that everyone can make it that wants to pay their respects.

That all depends on you and who will be attending. After 6:oo PM seems to be the most open for people during the week. If the funeral is on Saturday, it seems that early morning funerals are more easily attended. If you have one on sunday, the afternoon is the most appropiate time.

Usually withing 1-2 weeks of a death, this is because a fully autopsy is performed and because you will need to make arrangements with a funeral home. You can however, have one performed sooner if need be, it just cost's more.

A funeral should be held within a week of the death. Wait a few days if necessary so that all appropriate and close relatives can attend.

Funerals happen fairly quickly after the event. An appropriate period is usually 1-2 weeks, though it can be made later if necessary. They usually last 1/2 hour to two hours.

Within one to two weeks is appropriate for two reasons - the decomposition process of the cadaver and time for mourners to pay their respects.

It depends on what region you live in. I'm from the south and around here funerals are held anywhere from 11-2pm.

Most people hold funerals about a week or two after the death of the person. But it varies with people and timing.
