Foods to avoid include spicy foods, foods with high acid content, coffee, soda, and alcohol. Be sure not to smoke and not to use pain medications such as aspirin or ibuprofen.

I would stay away from things that have high acidity such as tomatoes and citrus fruit. Try things such as grilled or baked chicken in mild seasoning (no spicy sauces!) or pasta in a cream-based sauce or with oil and herbs. Also, stay away from soda and juice.

In order to not aggravate an ulcer, a person should eat foods that are low in acidity. Also avoid spicy foods.

To help your ulcer heal and to maintain a stomach free of pain, you should concentrate on eating a natural high fiber, whole grain diet. Include with it lean protien, vegetables, low acid fruits and probotics such as the ones found in yogurt.
