Creatine has been one of the most studied supplements over the past twenty years. Current research supports gains in both strength and lean muscle when compared to a placebo group.

Creatine has an ability to enhance your body's ability to make protein. The problem is that a side effect may be increased aggressiveness and irritability from creatine. It may contain small amounts of "Androstenedione" and other "anabolic" steroids which cause this. It has not been proven that they do, but it may be a possibility.
