Selsun Yellow is a shampoo that is recommended to treat seborrhea dermatitis, tina versicolor and severe dandruff. It contains selenium sulphide; hence, the name. Selsun makes several types of shampoo for a variety of scalp conditions. Most of include a color in the name.

Selsun yellow, a solution of selenium sulfide, is used to treat skin redness from a bacteria yeast infection. It's characterized by red splotches, flaky and itchy skin. This is known as seborrhoeic dermatitisitis when affecting facial region, and tinea versicolor when affecting the rest of the body. It is essentially a skin inflammation.

It is a solution for the skin or scalp. Most people use it to treat ring worms, fungi, and similar bacteria. You can also you is for dandruff, inflammation of the skin or scalp, or tinea versicolor. You can buy it over the counter too, a prescription is not needed.

Selsun is a topical lotion used to treat dandruff like condition such as seborrhea and psoriasis. I hope this helps. This product is for external use only I hope this helps.
