It is a water-soluable, five-carbon atom sugar that is commonly referred to as D-ribose. It is neccessary for biological processes throughout all of nature and because of this, ties all living organisms together.

ribose or D-ribose is a form of sugar that is manufactured in you own body. It is not found in any food. There is available a supplement form of it which may help those with chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia.
