What is "red hot jazz"?

Jazz is the genre. Red hot simply describes jazz and improvisation that is off the hook. Riffs that soar and take flight and melodies so fast that they make feet move like they are on coals!

I hold a jazz studies minor and a music education major, yet I've never heard of "red hot jazz". I don't believe it's a genre, at least not one of the major ones like bebop, cool, or dixieland. I would assume that red hot would be the opposite end of the spectrum from cool jazz artists like Chet Baker.
