Public Switched Telephone Network. Is the term to refer to the world's public telephone network. Originally analog, it was built on switched electromechanical circuits to provide service and call routing. Nowadays it is mostly digital and includes mobile and fixed lines.

Public Station Telephone Network-It is a network which is used by the Land line users.When ever a Land line user call then the call firstly goes to the PSTN which analyze it that whether the user is dialed a basic number or a mobile number,according to the request the PSTN connect the call to another PSTN or Gateway MSC.

PSTN is Public Switched Telephone Network. It is the public network phone system. It is basically a web of telephone lines that are connected by switching centers. This is what makes it possible to call numbers from any phone.
