What is porokeratosis?

I know it is a medical condition but do not understand what it is.

This is a term used to describe several dermatological growths on various parts of the body. Commonly, porokeratosis appears as small, hard spots on the sole of the foot.

Porokeratosis is a term which is used to describe skin problems on the human body. The lesions appear as dozens of small seed shaped lesions which are hyperkeratotic. Typically, these lesions are slightly raised and usually appear on the soles and palms. Often, these lesions may be referred to as a seed corn.
