This is subjective but many people consider it to be The Dark Side of the Moon which was certified 15x Platinum and has inspired many tribute albums and art.

Dark Side of the Moon, hands down. Animals is a close second though, but with Dark Side they achieved possible the greatest album of all time. Roger and Dave with Alan Parsons engineering was magic.

In my opinion, there really isn't a "best", since most of the bands cds are good if not great. Four that stand out maybe more than the rest though are Dark Side of the Moon, Animals, Meddle, and of course, The Wall. These are a good place to start for someone who hasn't listened to a lot of Pink Floyd.

As with all value judgements there is an element of personal taste in this answer. My favourite is "The Dark Side of the Moon" but a close second would be "The Wall".

I would have to say "Wish You Were Here" I like every song on it and the title track is really sweet. It is a tribute to the original singer, who went crazy from using too many drugs.
