Depends on what they have eaten. Kittens still nursing tend to be lighter brown. Kittens on kitten chow may be medium to darker brown. If kitten drinking other than mother's milk, discontinue immediately. Cats are lactose intolerant. They would develop diahrreah and it would be light brown.

Brown is normal, in nursing kittens it may be yellowish. If you see blood, mucous or the stool is white or black see vet IMMEDIATELY. White specs may mean worms.

Normally it is a brownish color, but you must also take into consideration the firmness of it. If you see reddish or black coloration in it, this is blood and can be a sign it has parasites. If your kitten develops loose stools, it must be checked by a vet.

Kitten poop should be just like human poop actually. So one should look for firm and brown stool that is excreted from the kitten.

The normal color would have to be green to a dark green that would be if the cat is healthy and well kept up to what it should be eating and drinking. Most of the time they are into everything and eat thing that they are not allowed to eat but eat any way.
