What is New Zealand doing to help promote the use of Maori Language as a nation?

Since 2004, the state has funded Maori Television. Its second channel, Te Reo, broadcasts entirely in Maori, with no advertising or subtitles.

Each student learns a small amount of Maori at school. There is also Maori language week which is promoted throughout the media. Some newspapers have a 'Maori word of the day' and many signs have Maori translations.

The government in New Zealand has Maori interpreters in parliament and at government events, recognizes Maori place names in the post, and there are several television channels in Maori.
