Melamine resin is a hard, thermosetting resin made from melamine and formaldehyde. It's used for everything from kitchen utensils to laminated flooring and Formica. It is produced in a process called polymerization in a chemical reaction to create 3D polymer chains.

Melamine is a combination of two molecular reactive chemicals that are used to make kitchen tools and other things like laminate surfaces, they use heat to make the two chemicals cure meaning that once the heat is applied the resin becomes irreversibly hardened.

It is made by combining it with formeldehyde. It is actually a hard plastic material. It is made by boiling the melamine it high temperatures. Then you will add the formeldehyde mixtures in it to make it a hard thick plastic. The hard thick plastic will then be used to make further items.
