It is virtually impossible to fail to communicate even if we don't say a word. We often communicate our feelings to others in a variety of ways such as facial expressions, body lean, staring, and even silence. Sometimes the communication can occur in how we say the words rather than the words we use.

Verbal communication involves using words and your mouth movements to communicate. Therefore non-verbal communication involves every other way you could convey a message without words. Using hand gestures, eye movements, facial expressions and non-verbal sounds are all ways to communicate non-verbally. Body language refers to how you position your body and move your limbs.
