Marbling wax is used for making candles. If you heat the wax up higher it is used specifically for hurricane and embedded candles. The different temperatures of heating makes different kinds of candles.

I'm not finding anything called marbling wax, but I am finding sealing wax which is to be used on marble countertops or other marble surfaces. Sealing wax is sometimes called Marbling sealing wax, so that is most likely what you are thinking of when you say marbling wax. Hope this helps!
