Line of sight is a communications term. It refers to a communication link that is not wired which the transmitter and receivers are placed where there is an unobstructed view to each other. Satellite TV and radio internet systems use this form of connection.

Line of sight refers to that area in which a person can see directly with the unaided from one specific vantage point. It is often used with rifle scopes to state that the would be shooter can clearly see the target without any thing or anyone else in the way.
