Iron nitrate, Fe(NO3)3, is a chemical compound used to etch silver and silver alloy metals used in jewelry. It is also used as a catalyst in some reactions.
Iron nitrate is Fe(N03)2. The compound is an Iron Fe2+ atom with two ionic bonds with two nitrate ions NO3 2-. The compound is a solid but will dissociate, is soluble in water.
