Measure your length x width. Usually metal roofing can be ordered to the length desired. The width will be determined by the width of the panel, but they will overlap, so you will need to take that into account. Pick a color and then install on the rafters, using neoprene nails on the ridge line.

Make sure you install the proper underlaminate. You will need at least 10 lb. felt paper. There are different methods to installing metal roofing but make sure that any exposed screws and all seams are caulked or sealed. It is also important to install the proper flashing in any areas that the room meets a wall.

Dont but barn metal. Look for a company that supplies metal roofing for residential. residential metal companies will have the correct material for valleys to prevent leaking.

Your old roof needs to be stripped back down to the plywood. You will need metal to wood screws that have washers. A mastic sealent for the seams is best.
