Dont but barn metal. Look for a company that supplies metal roofing for residential. residential metal companies will have the correct material for valleys to prevent leaking.

Your old roof needs to be stripped back down to the plywood. You will need metal to wood screws that have washers. A mastic sealent for the seams is best.
