What is good space saving furniture?

I will be moving into an apartment about the size of a dorm room, so I need all the help I can get.

Furniture that multitasks: A loft-bed could have a desk/workspace underneath. A sleeper sofa doubles as bed & seating. A wall mounted TV. A storage ottoman. A nightstand with drawers can be an endtable & dresser. Folding TV trays are extremely useful. Tall floor lamps can fit in tight corners.

You need a day bed which will double as a couch. Get a small kitchen table that has drop down sides. Use a hammock for an extra seat.

A bed that has a hidden drawer to keep extra things are always nice. Using those air compression bags for seasonal clothes is usually a must and can be easily stored in a corner of your closet. If you have movies/video games an entertainment center can save space. Though the best way is to sell things you don't need.

First try to figure out the size of what you need to buy. Then go to the store with your measurements and look for items in that particular size. Generally the stores that sell imported furniture that you put together yourself are smaller than what you find in the regular furniture stores.
