In Latin: "Miserére mei, Deus" is "have mercy on me, God" and "Miserere Deus" is "God has mercy. " Latin construction is different than it is in English.

There are many ways of saying "God have mercy on me" in Latin. Two of the most common ways are: Deus (God) clementiam (mercy) mihi (to me) det (May... give) or Deum (god) mei (of me) miseret (it pities). The last one is not able to be translated literally into English.
