Friction is a force, that comes about from the interaction of objects as they move against each other. Frictional forces are contact forces and only occur when and where two objects come into contact. Frictional forces are vectors and always point in the direction opposite of the motion.

friction is a force which oppose motion.it causes wear n tear.it has a pro and con to our life.we would not wan friction when we write on the whiteboard.we would nid friction to brake the car.there is also work done against friction-frictional force multiply by distance of the force applied.
