The Crocea is a beautiful clam that can be found in a multitude of colors ranging from blues and purples to golds and oranges. It is native to the shallow shore line regions of the Indo-Pacific area and is quite difficult to maintain in an aquarium, requiring intense lighting.

Crocea clams are a very beautiful clam that comes in many color combinations. These clams are very delicate and probaly the most difficult species of clam to keep. You need very intense lighting and the water temperature needs to be 78-84 degrees F.

Change colors, 72-78° is ideal water temp, need moderate water flow, grow to 6" in the wild so make sure you have a big enough tank

Great choice! These are very attractive additions to aquariums. Believe it or not, it is all in the lighting. They need bright lights above the tank to really make them feel at home. The tank should be at least 75 degrees for them to be as happy as a clam.
