What is causing my Buick Park Avenue to stall?

There are several reasons why stalling occurs, depending on when it occurs. If it happens when the car is in neutral or park, there could be a vacuum leak. If it stalls when under a load, the idle adjustment may be wrong or maybe the fuel filter is clogged.

There are a lot of reasons which cause stalling. You can diagnose them according to the time stalling takes place. If the car is neutral then there might be a leak in the vacuum. There are other reasons for it also. Take a mechanic with you and show him what happens.

Well the most likely answer would be a bad fuel filter, or fuel pump, causing the engine to die completely.
