The drug bupremorphine is a long lasting narcotic prescribed for the treatment of moderate to severe pain and opioid addiction. The drug is marketed under the trade names of Trade Names: Buprenex®, Suboxone®, and Subutex®. Generic Name: Buprenorphine hydrochloride, which is administered as an injection.

Bupremorphine is a drug developed to combat addiction to Heroin. Used along with Methadone it shows more success than using Methadone alone.
