There are three types of triangles: equilateral, isosceles and scalene. An equilateral triangle is one where all three sides are the same length. An isosceles triangle is one where only two sides are the same length. And last of all, a scalene triangle is a triangle where none of the sides are the same length.

an isosceles triangles have at least two equal length sides (the third side needn't be equal in length to the other two). Some other triangles are right, equilateral, and Scalene.
