I had a sty on my eye and it was a just a little bump on my eye under my eye lid. My doctor told me to put a cold compress on it and eventually it will go away. If not they can give you a certain kind of prescription eye drop.

A sty is a blocked and infected oil duct in the lid margin. You can treat it by applying heat to the sty several times a day. There are also some OTC topical medications that can treat itching and pain.

Eye sties are caused by bacteria that get into an eyelash hair. They are not generally dangerous. And the reasons are rubbing eyes, poor hand washing. Inner eyelid sties can be dangerous. General treatments for sty eye are keeping the area clean, do not rub your eyes and avoid wearing eye make up until the sty heals

A sty is caused by a virus that you came in contact with and then rubbed your eye. Treat it with a coloidal silver solution to eliminate the virus.
