An unbalanced diet is any diet where you are not getting a diverse array of nutrients from different sources. Even eating healthy foods can be unbalanced. If you ate only lettuce all day, this would be unhealthy because you are missing out on vital nutrients provided by other foods, such as protein or lycopene.
