The course is a lot like nursing school without the patient care aspects. Human anatomy and physiology classes, reviews of procedures, medications, triage, venous puncture and medical terminology are intense. Students also learn how to quickly assess and report succinctly in order of pertinence. It is a fast-paced curriculum that requires quick thinking, quick actions.

A EMT training course is very extensive you do book training and then you train on dummies to get you prepared for the real world. This course has many tests to see if you are prepared and you have the knowledge as people depend on you in life and death circumstances.
