Aftermarket refers to being made by someone other than the original manufacturer. Exhaust pipes as these are installed for style, sound and/or performance. Large bikes are usually for style/sound, dirt and sport types for performance. All performance pipes increase airflow. Tuned pipes are designed specifically for a particular engine to maximize its' characteristics.

An aftermarket pipe refers to the exhaust system. Typically bike owners will swap out the stock restrictive exhaust for a lighter, freer flowing aftermarket one.

An after market pipe on a motorcycle refers to an exhaust not originally installed from the factory. Basically a exhaust you install yourself that is less restrictive than stock making it faster as wel as lighter.
