WLAN stands for Wireless Local Area Network. It is your Wi-Fi home network. The Wi-Fi router recieves the wireless information and relays it to your broadband. Use WPA2 encryption to ensure your signal is invisible to your neighbours and this stops hackers using your Wi-Fi too.
