A thyroid sonogram is a radiological test that is taken when a patient complains of the sensation of lumps or module in the throat or neck. A sonogram gives a good visible picture of what is present. With the clear picture presented by a sonogram, a doctor can do an accurate fine needle biopsy of any nodules detected.
