A shag haircut is when you have the hair person cut the back of the hair shoulder length and the front and sides are layered. They make the front and sides almost into bangs and short sides so that a shag can actually be worn in many different styles or just be left down and it looks great all ways.

It is a hair that is cut in layers over the entire head and can look messy or "shaggy" hence the name. It is a great style for any length hair and can easily be dressed up or down. It is a great low maintenance style, good for almost any hair type and never goes out of fashion.
