Answer by  john11 (617)

A series summation is a summation of a sequence whose domain is a function of the natural numbers. Take a sequence {1,2,3,...n}, then the series is 1+2+3+4+...+n = n*(n+1)/2.

+6

A series is a list of items that are being added together. So a series summation is just the answer when all of the terms are added together.
