A repeating decimal is a number where there is a series of digits that repeat forever someplace after the decimal place. Some examples include 1/3 = 0. 333333333333... or 3227/555 = 5. 8144144144144... note that 22/100 or. 22 is not a repeating decimal because the digits do not repeat forever.
