A probation report is a legal document and report constructed to demonstrate the outlines of one person's probation agreement. It basically outline everything that the person must do in order to abide by the rules of the probation.

It discusses whether a person who committed a crime should receive a non-prison sentence. It could suggest community service. It can also suggest terms of probation like where the offender can live in order to get them away from the place where they were getting into trouble. Basically it helps the judge decide the type of sentence to impose.
