Your TSH level should be between. 3 and 3.0. This has changed from the previous. 5 to 5. 0 level that was considered normal. This was changed six years ago.

Thyroid level is measured by a TSH count(thyroid-stimulating hormone). TSH regulates the thyroid gland. Depending upon the lab,a normal TSH count is usually between 0. 4 and 5.0. Hypothyroidism is determined as a count of 5. 0 or above. Hyperthyroidism is a low TSH count, usually under 2.0.

What you are looking for is your TSH level, and unfortunately "normal" levels are determined more by individual Doctors. According to most physicians the normal TSH range is between 0. 5 and 5. 0, however, some endocrinologists will treat patients with TSH levels over 3.0. My levels have always been around 4. 6, but I have never been treated.
