A normal blood urea nitrogen (BUN)-to-creatine ratio for most adults is somewhere in the range of 10-20:1 (mg/dl). If your BUN-to-creatine ratio is greater than this, it likely indicates pre-renal disease, meaning that reduced flow to the kidneys has increased reabsorption of BUN. If the ratio is lower than this range, you may be suffering from intrarenal disease.

Bun and creatinine are watste products from the break down of food. The normal level for bun is 10 to 20, and creatinine is. 7
