A normal blood urea nitrogen (BUN)-to-creatine ratio for most adults is somewhere in the range of 10-20:1 (mg/dl). If your BUN-to-creatine ratio is greater than this, it likely indicates pre-renal disease, meaning that reduced flow to the kidneys has increased reabsorption of BUN. If the ratio is lower than this range, you may be suffering from intrarenal disease.

If your bun/creat ratio is 24.4 but your creatinine is .86 is there anything to worry about?
