a missed abortion is another term used to describe a missed miscarriage. What it means is that your sister was pregnant and had a miscarriage early on in the pregnancy, probably before she even realized that she was in fact pregnant. This sometimes happens early on in pregnancies. Sometimes the cause can't be determined.

A missed abortion is when an abortion will occur, the fetus has died, or can not survive. The body has yet to dispel the remains of the fetus so the abortion is "missed" these will usually happen in the future or a D and E will be scheduled

You have every right to be confused. That doesn't make any sense. If she scheduled an appointment for an abortion and forgot to go, that would be a missed abortion. Otherwise I'm just as confused as you are.

A missed abortion is like a way of your body aborting the fetus because it would have not produced a healthy baby.
