Depending on the model of Minolta digital camera, the body may be made of cast and machined aluminum. The aluminum may be anodized for color and style and to prevent oxidation. There also may be stainless steel inserts for lens mountings. Low cost Minoltas use ABS resin plastic bodies, with aluminized decorative trim and steel inserts as well.

Minolta has a range of cameras, and I'm not sure which one you're referring too, but the vast majority of all digital cameras are made out of plastic. Only very high end cameras are still metal.
