Matrix Organization is where a person can be part of one department in a company but still report to a manager of a different department along with their own manager. This type of organization usually has a lot of managers. This is good because everyone knows what is going on and no one is left out.

This term refers to companies, such as construction, that develop intergrated projects. Each project is supervised by a person. All heads of projects report to a single person.
