Marilyn bridge otherwise called Maryland bridge are used in cases where the natural teeth are not reduced. The teeth that acts as abutment are normally reduced in crown and bridge but in this case metal onlays are bonded on to the inside of the anterior teeth and chewing surface of posterior teeth thereby preventing reduction of enamel in abutment teeth.

It is actually called a Maryland bridge and that is a bridge that has multiple teeth on it where a regular bridge may only take the place of 1 or maybe 2 teeth.

A marilyn bridge fills the space between two teeth, where there is now one or more teeth missing. The bridge is attached to two current teeth. The bridge will last several years.
