Question by  Hortense (206)

What is a Lennox AC's SEER rating?

+7

Answer by  ThousandWords (7)

A SEER Rating is a seasonal energy efficiency rating. The higher the rating, the less electricity the unit uses to produce the air conditioning. New units that are sold in the United States should have a SEER rating above 13. A SEER rating is typically between 6 and 25.

The SEER rating required for sale in the US after 2006 is 13. If purchased between 2006 and 1989, it will be 10- 12, before that, it could be 8.

The Lennox AC's Seer rating would depend on the size of the AC unit. You can try finding the silver label on the unit that gives all of the information about the unit and getting the information off of that, or you can take the brand, size, model, and BTU rating and check with the manufacturer on their website.
