What is a "group B" strep infection?

Its a bacterial infection, normally affects newborn babies during delivery. It is caused by Streptococcus agalactiae, which can be found in intestine or vagina or urinary tract of a pregnant women. group B strep is not life-threatening, but sometimes leads to death if untreated.

Group Be strep refers to a group of streptoccous pneumo organisms. It is typically not life threatening unless passed to a baby during delivery.
