Many aspects of a great diet are universal but teenage athletes have some special needs. You may need more calories and high quality protein due to your age and level of activity. Eat lots of whole grains and complex carbohydrates, healthy fats, and high quality proteins and remember to keep well hydrated.

Lots of protein and carbs. Stay away from fatty foods but try to eat things with lots of calories that give you energy. Things like pasta are good for this.

You will need to include about ten ounces of protein along with a good selection of multiple fruits and vegetables.

Plenty of protein - fish is a good one because it is high in protein and oils whilst simultaneously being lean. I'd also recommend carbs (pasta, potatoes) and sugars (fruit) after exercise to encourage muscle repair and help them feel full.
