In my experience most travel pillows are uncomfortable and I end up not using them anyway. But if you must have one, get one that isn't inflatable, which means that it's filled with beans or something because even though the inflatable ones are more convient they are hard and uncomfortable.

There are several options to choose from. Organic pillows offer natural materials, memory foam pillows automatically mold to your curves, and horseshoe shaped contour pillows offer neck support. Inflatable pillows can still be comfortable and come with suede or cotton covering. For those who have neck pain, there are pillows made from buckwheat hulls. Travel pillows with removable coverings are recommended.

I would definitely get one that goes around your next so you get maximum support. There are a ton of different brands out there in all kinds of price points, but I had the best luck with the REI brand inflatable travel pillow. It was only $10 and was comfortable.

The Samsonite Double Comfort Travel Pillow is one of the best pillows I have ever had on a long plane flight. It holds your head in place so you are not leaning on the people next to you but it also stabilizes your neck so it is not cramped when you wake up.
