Spread your feet shoulder length apart. Keep your elbow held parallel to the ground. When the pitchers winds up, concentrate on the baseball. When the ball is released, lift your front leg and start your swing. Your front leg will end up a few inches from where it first was.

Your feet should start shoulder width apart. When the ball is being delivered towards you, bring your leg up, back, or a combination of both, and stride towards the pitcher (or second base). Your foot should land at minimum where it began or longer, but no more than one and a half times your shoulder width.

To hit a baseball keep your head still, and square your shoulder towards the pitcher. Lift front foot what rotating your hips and swinging the bat for the most power.

First keep your feet firmly planted on the ground. As you see the ball approaching, move your back foot and transfer all the weight from the front to back foot.

A good stride technique for hitting is to have a short compact stride in which your feet do not end up too far apart. You also want to keep your hands inside the ball as you stride and make sure not to lift your leg too high when stepping.

When you swing, lean with the bat. If you're right handed, when you swing you shift your weight onto your left foot while turning your body. This gives your bat great momentum and also helps you keep your eye on the ball while swinging. It always worked for me when I played!

Actually there have been a number of coaches teaching the "no-stride" technique. It is the process of swinging the bat without a big step forward. The front foot is the stride foot. The back foot is called the pivot foot. It allows the batter to keep the head still, the weight back, and the eyes on the ball.
