If your dog has Calcium oxalate stones you can treat this with different types of foods. The best thing is low protein foods you can buy at local pet specialty stores. You can also put your dog on a potato and egg diet, serve this with a little chicken fat and your dog will love it!

Unfortunately, hypercalcemia (elevated calcium levels) in dogs is often a sign of something far more grave and natural medicines tend not to cure these things. The best thing to do for your dog would be to take the medicine that the vet prescribed because natural medicines can't fight cancer or kidney disease.

If you want your dog to have calcium, he will also need extra vitamin D so he can actually absorb it instead of passing it out. Dogs love cheese and plain yogurt. You could add some to his dog food.

The best natural remedy is prevention. Switch your dog to a food that is high in calcium. Science Diet is a pretty good brand
