Use Zyrtec. Despite what commercials say it only causes drowsiness in very few people. Claritin does not work even though it is guarantees not to cause drowsiness. Benadryl often causes allergies itself and is easy to OD on.

I have had nasal allergies for many years. I have had good results for a while with Allegra and Claritin and Flonase. Now I'm using Astelin and Claritin together.

There are a number of medications available depending on the cause(s) of your allergies. Steroids help reduce the inflammation, antihistamines and decongestants can block some of the chemical reactions your body is having to the allergen, and low-dose treatment over time with allergens can help you build a more permanent immunity. Your doctor can help you pick the right one.

There are several natural as well as over the counter remedies for this. One effective over the counter medication is clariton. There are also natural things a person can use such as a warm salt water nasal wash as well as a nasal wash called alkalol which is also over the counter. These can be found in most parmacies.
