The homeopathic remedy varies, depending on the stage of the shingles. Rhus tox is good for the early blisters (tiching). Arsenicum album is good for lesions that are painful, but use mezereum for severe pain, which is also good for the lasting pains along the nerve line after the lesions are healed. Ranunculus, Lachesis and apis are also options.

One of the best things for shingles is to take a warm bath with oatmeal soap. Aveno makes a good soap that helps with rash, try skin, itching, pain, and other symptoms.

Proper use of homeopathic treatment can bring good results. Ranunc Bulb is the most used treatment for shingles. Mezereum, Rhus Tox and Ars Alb are used to treat small itchy blisters. Taking oatmeal bath in hot water can also help with pain and itching. Adding vitamin E oil, golden-seal, and peppermint tea bags in hot water can provide relief.

Use an Oatmeal bath. Aveeno makes a preapacked oatmeal bath solution that works wonders once added to a tub of warm water. After the bath rub the area gently with Tea tree oil.

Until the dawn of anti-viral medications, people with shingles treated the symptoms and just rode out the condition. Anti-virals help prevent the condition from worsening.

Shingles or chicken pox doesn't really have a cure (other than time) however you can try relieving your symptoms with an oatmeal paste or just by using a dry heat on the affected area. Try using a hair dryer on low, and gently let it blow on the affected areas.
