Pork is best for luaus. In Hawaii they roast the pork in the ground for hours to make it really tender so if you can make pork that is really tender, like pulled pork, that is always a good for a luau. You should also have lots of fresh fruit for luaus. I highly recommend barbecuing or grilling pineapple.
